SMA has formed a partnership with the developer of OPTIMO, a Local Government booking and management system which allows Council staff, stakeholders and the community to book Council facilities, venues or services in real time. The OPTIMO system enables Councils to automate and streamline the booking process for seasonal and one off bookings and book multiple council services to allow greater asset utilisation with significant cost savings. OPTIMO is a Microsoft Gold certified partner with over 30 Australian and NZ Councils using the system including City of Melbourne, City of Port Phillip, City of Sydney, Northern Beaches Council, Fraser Coast Regional Council and Albury City Council. The platform has applications across a number of services including ticketing for public events, sports fields (seasonal and casual bookings), community halls and venues, parks, gardens and weddings, recreation facilities, event permits, libraries and art galleries, function and meeting rooms and meeting spaces, as well as many other functions. SMA’s Managing Director, Craig Gibson, said the system provided Councils with a single interface across the whole organisation that seamlessly integrated into existing IT platforms and website interfaces. He said the system made Council facility bookings much easier for staff. “It has a user-friendly interface for the community and council staff, as well as a payment gateway and data integration with existing council finance and reporting systems,” Craig said. “It offers data analytics capability to optimise facility usage and resources and data hosted with Microsoft Azure in-country data centres, featuring industry leading data security and recovery systems.” To discuss Optimo, contact Craig on 0414 186 200.
