The Federation of International Touch (FIT) is hosting its annual global Members Forum in Singapore this month with Sports Marketing International (SMI) delivering a keynote address on the importance of Commercial Partnerships.
FIT is the international governing body for the sport of Touch and the forum will be held at Mercure Singapore Bugis with more than 50 delegates attending from 40+ countries from February 23rd – 25th. SMI General Manager for Partnerships and Commercial, Corey Bell, will deliver the presentation on commercial strategy and said this was an exciting opportunity to meet with the leaders in Touch and identify ways to grow the sport globally using strategic business relationships.
The first official Touch Tournament was held in Sydney in 1968 and then spread to New Zealand. From there the game has expanded rapidly, especially in the South Pacific and it is now played around the world, particularly in Europe.
The forum offers direct access to the official representatives from National Touch Organisations (NTOs) from around the globe. These are the key decision makers in the sport of Touch who are shaping the future of the sport. The forum offers the opportunity for sports attending the conference to grow their global network with contacts from around the world – all in the one location.
In addition to support with the conference, SMI is assisting FIT with commercial partnerships internationally through the assets they own, including the Touch World Cup.
