Walking the Green and Gold Runway Together 

SMA presented at the 2026 Oceania Sport Conference last month in Tahiti showcasing the unique opportunities on offer along the “green and gold runway” as International Sporting Organisations prepare for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games. 
 
General Manager of Commercial and Partnerships – International for SMA, Corey Bell, attended the conference for SMA, presenting to more than 30 Oceania Sports who gathered in conjunction with 20 ONOC representatives and the Pacific Games Council. The forum was held to ensure athletes are ready for 2027 Pacific Games in Tahiti in August 2027.

Corey said the experience was highly motivational, adding that there was something special about the years leading into a home Games.

“For the Oceania region, Brisbane 2032 represents more than a sporting event,” SMA’s GM, Corey Bell, said. “It is a moment of possibility, a chance for athletes, teams, sports and nations across our region to step onto a global stage with a genuine sense of belonging. “This was the spirit of the 2026 Oceania Sport Conference in Tahiti, where SMA was proud to be part of the conversation alongside more than 30 Oceania Sports, 20 ONOC representatives and members of the Pacific Games Council.” 

Corey shared SMA’s perspective and expertise around creating opportunities for the green and gold runway to Brisbane 2032. At the heart of this conversation is the belief that the pathway to the Olympic and Paralympic Games matters just as much as the competition itself. “Being games ready takes years of preparation and it takes the right people, the right environment, strong relationships and trusted partners who understand what high performance looks like,” he said. “This is where SMA’s experience matters. Through our relationships with partnering councils, SMA has a network grounded not only in great destinations, but in genuine partnerships. This creates opportunities to find the right place to train, to compete, recover and connect as they head towards Brisbane.”
