Sell Out Crowds for Australian Supercross in Redcliffe

The prestigious Fox Australian Supercross Championship will return to Queensland in October in the City of Moreton Bay. The event will be held at Kayo Stadium, Redcliffe, and will include a unique double header format in the opening round featuring two main races.

The spectacular is expected to attract close to 10,000 competitors and fans into the region after a five-year hiatus from the Sunshine State. Championship Director, Kelly Bailey, said the new seaside location and the outdoor rectangular stadium would deliver a sell-out crowd for the first race of the year.

To mark tickets going on sale for the highly anticipated Redcliffe event, a media launch took place recently at the Redcliffe Jetty featuring FMX star and event ambassador, Harry Bink, along with leading and local Australian Supercross riders, Luke Clout, Nathan Crawford, Kaleb Barham and Nixon Darragh, along with the City of Moreton Bay Mayor, Peter Flannery.

To showcase the high-octane action fans can expect at Kayo Stadium on October 12, Bink base jumped out of a helicopter landing on Moreton Island, caught a ride to shore with The Mad Hueys in their boat where he then hopped on a motorbike to perform a double backflip on the iconic jetty, the first of its kind on a pier.

The stunt sets the scene for a thrilling Australian Supercross event at Kayo Stadium, which is expected to sell out. Fans are encouraged to secure their tickets early. Ticket sales visit: www.australiansupercross.com.au/events/round-1/

Championship Director, Kelly Bailey said reaction on the location and stadium had been excellent with strong sentiment from travelling inter-region and inter-state fans who are keen to make a weekend of it in the City of Moreton Bay.

City of Moreton Bay Mayor, Peter Flannery, said events like these were great for local businesses and gave tourists the opportunity to discover the many attractions and hidden secrets across the City of Moreton Bay.
